Spring Awakening
I was inspired by Mark Denney who is a Landscape photographer and YouTuber. In his photos he presents the world in its natural state whether it’s the mountains, seascapes, or woodlands. They display the vibrant colors of nature and give you a sense of calmness in our busy world. I followed in his footsteps to show a few hidden treasures I found around my local area. In the beginning of this series, it was hard finding colorful and vibrant landscapes since spring was just coming around and everything was green and brown. However, after some looking, I found little pockets of color and throughout these last four weeks nature started to bloom and spring was upon us. I started out with my 28-60mm kit lens that was included with my camera which produced good pictures the first week. I bought a 50mm macro lens the second week and loved it so much that I ended up using it for the rest of the series. Throughout the weeks I learned how to properly expose my pictures so I could get the best details and sharpest pictures possible as well as how to edit my photos similar to Mark Denney to get vibrant colors. These pictures are a glimpse of the transition from winter to spring. You’ll see trees and flowers budding and eventually blossom into the spring colors we all look forward to after a long cold winter. I took a mixture of landscapes and macro shots of delicate flowers so you can see the vibrant colors up close and in detail. After this long winter and pandemic, people should get outside and enjoy the nice weather and nature. It can be very relaxing and a great break from our busy lives.
